A Golden Birthday Song

Today, I’d like to share a small creative project: a song I wrote especially for my friend’s birthday.

B, Bee of Light

B, your name rose with the dawn,
From ancient gardens breathing on,
A bee within the world’s warm glow,
Seeking light where sunbeams flow.

You drift from bloom to bloom unseen,
Turning night to golden sheen,
In your hands, sweet patience sings,
In your eyes, a star has wings.

B, bee of radiant light,
You carry honey through the night,
Woman of fire, woman of peace,
You guide with care and bring release.

B, your soul keeps working through,
Like secret gold in straw and dew,
You wake the flowers from their dreams,
And silence turns to shining streams.

You know the pathway of the heart,
Where strength and softness never part,
And when the people lose their way,
Your voice brings back the light of day.

Mama Bee, with wisdom wide,
You turn sorrow sweet inside,
You take the pollen from our pain,
And make the heart bloom once again.

Not too hard and not too frail,
You move with grace beyond the veil,
And in the garden of humankind,
You open roads for hearts to find.

Mama Bee of radiant light,
You carry honey through the night,
Woman of strength, woman of faith,
An ancient star walks in your grace.

May your sweet name resound,
Like a forgiving hive of sound,
Like a golden song through sea and air,
Sacred bee of earth and prayer.

One in a buzzillion, rare and true,
A golden heart shines bright in you.
On June twelfth, with joy we say:
